You’ve Got Questions - I’ve Got Answers

These are certain questions that seem to come up again and again by my clients. Below are some of the most commonly asked questions regarding training. However, if you don’t find the answer you are looking for, please email me and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

HOW ARE YOU DIFFERENT FROM OTHER TRAINERS?

I am a current female student athlete, in high school, with a commitment to play for UC San Diego in the Fall of 2024.  Being able to teach the fundamentals in a supportive environment is a given or should be for any trainer.  My aim is to not just encourage them and improve their skill, but to also inspire them so they touch the ball on their own between sessions.  This is when growth happens.  Unlike a former pro soccer player from a far off place, I am different from other trainers because I am like them, a student soccer player, but just a little older and with success that they can see is in their immediate reach.  Because of my age, a relatable learning environment is created organically allowing your player to comfortably communicate and connect with me.  As soon as we connect, your player and I are able to engage in a far more dynamic and meaningful training environment than the repetitive drills that is more customary in the training industry.

DO I NEED TO BE AT A CERTAIN ATHLETIC LEVEL TO TRAIN WITH AVA42 TRAINING?

Yes, but it is not what you expect.  I'm not the trainer for the teen or pre-teen that is looking to go pro right now.  I'm looking to train the player that wants to become the impact player on their team.  I'm looking to train the player that is on the second or third team in their club looking to make the next level team up in the next cycle.  I want to train the player that wants to move from their local club into the club that has teams in the ECNL.  I want to train the player that has been in recreational soccer but wants to play at a competitive level.  Ideally I'm looking to train the player that wants to step out of their comfort zone to challenge themselves.

YOU KNOW THE ECNL COACHES AT LAFC,
CAN YOU TALK TO THEM TO GET MY CHILD ON THE TEAM?

No, I was only a player with LAFC's ECNL teams and that's the extent of my involvement with the club.  Most club coaches are professionals, coaching soccer longer than I've been alive and some a lot longer than that; it's my experience that they exclusively rely on their own judgment.  Being a current player, I do have insight generally speaking on what coaches are looking for in players.  Ultimately, my efforts in helping your player reach their immediate goals are focused on and limited to improving your players individual skills and self-confidence, to improve their chances of making their team of choice on their own merit.
